GRINNELL, Iowa – The Midwest Conference has announced the 2015 Football All-Conference Team on Wednesday.

First year head coaches Dan McCarty of St. Norbert College and Chad Braun of Monmouth College were named the North and South Division Coach of the Year, respectively, after leading their teams to a perfect division record and a berth in the Midwest Conference Championship Game.  McCarty’s Green Knights prevailed in the title game and have earned a trip to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the NCAA Playoffs.

Jacob Bunk of St. Norbert was named the league’s Offensive Line Most Valuable Player after plowing the way for the conference’s most potent ground attack.  The Green Knights ran for an average of 243.4 yards per game, averaged a conference-best 5.3 yards per carry, and reached the endzone 30 times on the ground.

Macalester College’s Zach Hauser was honored as the Defensive Line Most Valuable Player.  Hauser made 66 tackles from his defensive line position to lead Macalester and helped the Scots finish fourth in the conference in total defense.  Hauser also made three quarterback sacks and nine tackles for loss.

Carroll University receiver Kevin Jennings was named the Offensive Skill MVP after a historic season.  Jennings, a senior wide receiver, made 92 grabs for 1,267 yards and 17 scores in his final campaign for the Pioneers.  The 92 catches rank fourth in conference history, while the 17 touchdowns rank fifth and the 1,267 slot him seventh.  He also set a new conference mark with five touchdowns in a game.  For his career, Jennings averaged seven catches per game, breaking the conference record that has been held since 2009.

The Green Knights Frank Laterza had six interceptions on the season and defended 13 passes to earn the conference’s Defensive Skill MVP.  The senior also recovered a fumble, made 21 tackles and broke up seven passes.  St. Norbert’s defense led the conference in scoring defense after giving up just 99 points in the regular season and allowed just 163 yards passing per game.
