GRINNELL, Iowa – Based on the results of the annual Midwest Conference Men’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll, St. Norbert College is expected to win its fourth consecutive MWC title and its sixth in the last seven years.
St. Norbert received seven first place votes and three second place votes to total 97 points, edging out Monmouth College by four. The Fighting Scots earned three votes for the top spot, while Ripon College earned the final first place tally. The Red Hawks took third in the poll with 83 points.
Grinnell College and Lake Forest College tied for fourth with 64 points apiece. The Pioneers of Carroll University finished sixth in the poll with 56 points, followed by Lawrence University in seventh (43).
Beloit College (38), Cornell College (35), Illinois College (18) and Knox College (14) complete the 11-team poll.
