GRINNELL, Iowa – The Midwest Conference women’s basketball coaches have selected St. Norbert College to win its third consecutive league title in the annual MWC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. 

The Green Knights received the maximum number of first place votes, 10, as league coaches are not allowed to vote for themselves.  Carroll University received the other first place vote and finished second in the poll with 84 points. 

Cornell College and Lake Forest College are also expected to make the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament as the Rams earned 77 points and the Foresters garnered 74. 

Illinois College finished in fifth with 66 points, followed by Grinnell College and Monmouth College with 48 each.  Beloit College was slotted in eighth with 39, with Knox (33), Ripon (26) and Lawrence (10) completing the 11-team poll.
