ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Grinnell College women's golf team shot a Midwest Conference record 323 on the second day of the 2016 MWC Championship and lead she the field after 36 holes.
Results
Virshali Sinha shot another 74 on Saturday and leads her sister Vidushi by four strokes heading into the final round. As a team, the Pioneers lead second-place Illinois College by 82 strokes.
Grinnell's depth of Anisha Agarwalla and Sam Nakahira helped the Pioneers add to their lead. Agarwalla is in fifth while Nakahira fired an 83 today.
The Foresters Allie Girard sits in third place overall and is 16 shots off the lead. Knox College freshman Samantha Nichols continues to impress and is in fourth overall.
In the team standings, Lake Forest sits in third, followed by Monmouth College, St. Norbert College and Fontbonne University.
