Shie continued his perfect singles season last week, dropping just four games in his final two matches. Last Tuesday, the junior posted a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win over Wabash at No. 1 singles and followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Northwestern-St. Paul on Friday. Teaming with Zach Harris at No. 1 doubles, Shie picked up two more wins, an 8-2 victory on Tuesday followed by Friday’s 8-6 win. He had opened the week outlasting his Colby-Sawyer singles’ opponent 6-3, 7-6 and taking an 8-6 doubles win. For the season, Shie is a perfect 6-0 in singles play and 4-2 in doubles competition.
