Drew won the Shot Put at the Augustana Meet of Champions and finished 3rd in the Discus. In the Shot Put he threw 16.63 m, the top throw in the MWC this season and the 7th best in all of D3. In the Discus he threw 47.75m again tops in the MWC this year and 17th best in D3. Both throws are outdoor career highs for Thaxton. The Shot Put throw was just 0.04m off a school record set in 1997.
