Cristyn Oliver broke a 22-year-old Lawrence record and ran the fastest time in the Midwest Conference by 23 seconds in the process. Running at the St. Norbert Invitational, Oliver raced to victory in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:20.87 to break the 1999 school record of 18:29.71 set by Julie Liebich. Oliver now has the best time in the conference in that event by just a shade under 23 seconds.
