Collin Beyer ran the fastest time in Lawrence history at the Tom Barry Invitational, a meet the Vikings have been competing in for decades. In his first collegiate race, Beyer completed the four-mile course at Colburn Park in Green Bay, Wis., with a time of 20:24.17. He finished second at the event by two seconds and was the fastest Midwest Conference runner in the field by 38 seconds.
