Blumenau was victorious twice and historic once in Lake Forest's dual meet victory over visiting Monmouth on Saturday. She won the 800m freestyle by more than a minute-and-a-half with a time of 9:52.36 (converts to 11:16.98 for 1000 yards) and prevailed in the 400m freestyle by more than 30 seconds in 4:49.87 (5:31.28 for 500 yards). The junior also swam a time trial in the 200m-backstroke and broke a 25-year-old pool record by more than three seconds with a time of 2:23.83 (2:09.57 for 200 yards).
