Simms achieved one of the rarer of feats in basketball, a triple-double, during the Pioneers’ 145-79 victory over East-West University Saturday afternoon. Simms had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the first triple-double in school history that involved points, assists and rebounds. The only other triple-doubles at Grinnell came in 1991, when twice Chris Jacobsen achieved the feat with points, rebounds, and blocked shots. Simms currently leads the league in assists and ranks second in scoring and assist-turnover ratio.
