Jacob Charon smacked four homers in Lawrence's doubleheader sweep of Grinnell on Saturday and went 6-for-10 with nine runs batted in and six runs scored in the three-game series with the Pioneers. In the opener, he went 2-for-3, drove in four runs, and scored three times. Charon hit a two-run homer in the fifth and followed that with a two-run homer in the sixth as the Vikings won 11-0. In the second game, Charon went 4-for-5 with five RBIs and three runs scored in a 14-10 victory. He hit a three-run homer in the first inning and blasted a two-run homer in the ninth. Charon now has nine home runs on the season and that ties the Lawrence season record just 13 games into the campaign.
