Lowrey, a defensive specialist from St. Louis, Mo. (Cor Jesu Academy), was stellar in the Pioneers’ season-opening tournament. She piled up 106 digs for a 5.89 per set average while recording 11 aces as Grinnell went 3-1. Lowrey piled up 34 digs, tied for 10th-best all-time at Grinnell and seventh in a five-setter, in a victory over Concordia-Moorhead.
