McLaughlin had a terrific opening weekend in MWC play, averaging 4.17 kills per set and hitting .489 in 3-0 wins over Knox and Monmouth. The freshman committed only two attack errors on 47 total swings. The Rams improved to 8-4 overall, 2-0 in the MWC.
