Girard played a key role in Grinnell shutting out defending MWC champ and preseason favorite Knox College on Tuesday. The Pioneers’ 1-0 victory snapped a three-match losing streak to the Prairie Fire, dating back to 2018, as Grinnell started league play 2-0 for the first time since 2016. The shutout is Grinnell’s fourth of the season.
