Keegan Mencke opened the season with a pair of event victories as Lawrence defeated Carroll in a dual meet to open the season at Boldt Natatorium. Mencke grabbed first in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:08.42 for a 14-second victory. He also took first in the 500 freestyle in 5:20.62 for a 12-second win in that event. Mencke also took fourth in the 100 butterfly. Lawrence downed Carroll 115-80.
