Mattie Letendre won two events and swam on a winning relay as Lawrence opened its season with a dual meet victory over Carroll at Boldt Natatorium. Letendre swam to a nine-second victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.35. Letendre grabbed the top spot in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.49 for a six-second victory. Letendre also swam on Lawrence's 200 medley relay team, which took first in 2:00.01. Lawrence downed Carroll 124-87.
