Nate Thornton had a big day for the Scots in the 39-31 win over Ripon on Saturday. Despite 30 MPH winds, Thornton hauled in six catches for 94 yards and three scores. His first catch was a 44-yard touchdown to put the Scots on top 6-0. Later in the first quarter he had a 4-yard TD catch for a 12-0 Monmouth lead. He hauled in a 3rd TD catch, from 22-yards out, right before halftime to put Monmouth back on top 19-16. Thornton leads the MWC with 869 receiving yards and 11 TD while ranking 2nd in receptions (49).
