Yan had a big weekend while propelling Grinnell to the team title at its own Pioneer Classic. Highlighting his efforts was a meet record in the 200-yard butterfly, as his clocking of 1:56.77 bettered the previous mark set in 2013. Yan also won the 100 backstroke in 1:56.03 and claimed runner-up honors in seven events. Grinnell beat runner-up Nebraska Wesleyan University by more than 300 points for the team title.
