Chu swung a hot bat in the Pioneers’ spring break openers in Florida Sunday, hitting .571 with a 1.143 slugging percentage. She nearly hit for the cycle in a 7-1 win over Bates College, bashing a triple, double and single. For the day, she was 4-of-7 at the plate with two doubles, a triple and 1.143 slugging percentage. On top of that, she had a spotless 1.000 fielding percentage. Chu boosted her career doubles total to 23, which ranks sixth in program history.
