Edan Perez had a record-setting day in the final game of Lawrence's three-game series at Grinnell. Perez tied the Lawrence record with three homers in the Vikings' 18-17 victory over Grinnell. Perez hit a three-run homer in the fifth and smacked a solo shot in the eighth. He then hit a three-run homer in the ninth as part of a five-run inning as Lawrence rallied from four down to take the lead. He finished 3-for-6 in the game with seven runs batted in, which ties for the third-most in a game in Lawrence history. In the series, he hit .467 by going 7-for-15. Perez's three homer was part of a seven-homer outburst in the game, which broke the Lawrence team record of six set in 2022.
