Miyamoto ran the fifth-fastest 5000-meter cross country time in program history in the Pioneers’ season opener Friday. Miyamoto’s clocking of 18 minutes, 44.5 seconds, the best 5K time at Grinnell since 1995, was good for runner-up honors in the 57-compeitor field at the Central College Dutch Invitational.
