Kunkel made the most of his first career start, recording 12 saves and not giving up a score in the Pioneers’ 0-0 tie with Webster University Sunday. All of Kunkel’s saves, including several acrobatic ones in the waning minutes, came in the second half and preserved the scoreless affair against a dangerous Gorlok team.
