Yuen posted six event victories over the weekend and swam conference-leading times in six events as the Pioneers won dual meets over Iowa Central Community College and Luther College. Yuen was a perfect 4-for-4 against Luther, earning individual wins in the 100-yard breaststroke (58.25 seconds) and 100 butterfly (50.59), as well as swimming on the first-place 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams (1:37.22 and 1:28.34). The times in both individual events and 200 freestyle relay are tops in the league. He added victories in the 100 and 200 butterflies against Iowa Central in 50.74 and 1:54.06, with the latter being first in the MWC. Grinnell also swam league-leading times in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays in which Yuen swam, the former of those ranking 10th all-time at Grinnell.
