Lopez was a perfect 8-for-8 over the weekend, winning four events in Grinnell’s victory over Iowa Central Community College and four more against Luther College. She posted three league-leading times - the 100 butterfly with a clocking of 1 minute. .55 seconds against Luther (which also ranks 18th in program history) and times of 2:11.95 and 4:47.28 in the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley against Iowa Central. Lopez also won the 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley against Luther (2:15.21 and 2:16.87) while also swimming on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:53.82). Other wins against Iowa Central came in the 200 backstroke (2:16.46) and as part of the 200 medley relay team (1:53.41).
