Cortes was dominant in the mile on Saturday in Ripon's own Dick Hendricks Invite. The sophomore not only took first place – over 13 seconds ahead of the next finisher – but set a new school record by almost three seconds with a time of 5:08.11. The previous program mark had stood since 2013.
