Vermeulen guided the Pioneers to an extra-inning victory over nationally-ranked Millikin University with a complete-game effort. She struck out three batters and scattered seven hits in getting her first win of the season. Vermeulen had a busy weekend, also tossing five innings of relief against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point the following day.
