Cooke helped the Pioneers qualify for their 27th consecutive Midwest Conference Tournament with victories over two of the top teams in the league over the weekend. Cooke teamed with Albert Bostoen ’26 to win 8-4 at No. 3 doubles as the Pioneers toppled Lake Forest College 8-1. In an 8-1 win over Cornell College, which ran Grinnell’s winning streak against league foes to 184 dating back to the 2002-03 season, Cooke posted a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles and teamed with Bostoen for an 8-6 decision at No. 1 doubles.
