Vermeulen set the school record for career pitching victories with 33 in an 18-0 blasting of Monmouth College. She gave up just one hit over four innings and struck out five. Later in the week, Vermeulen added to her record by tossing a complete-game five-hitter and striking out two in an 11-3 victory at Cornell College. For the week, Vermeulen limited hitters to a measly .188 batting average. Grinnell is on an eight-game winning streak, with seven of those victories coming via the mercy rule.
