Jacob Charon hit .611 on the week as Lawrence clinched its second Midwest Conference title in three seasons. Charon went 11-for-18 with three doubles, two home runs 10 runs batted in and eight runs scored. Charon went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and drove in seven in Lawrence's 19-9 victory over Carthage to start the week. He also went 6-for-12 in a three-game road sweep of Monmouth to clinch the conference title. Charon pushed his career home run total to 45, which ties him with Beloit's Brett Kiger for the MWC record.
