Feilmeyer won seven events and was a part of four meet records as Grinnell claimed its 13th consecutive team title at the Grinnell Invite. Feilmeyer posted three individual victories, including meet-record performances in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 39.78 seconds) and 200 butterfly (1:51.52). He just missed an NCAA “B” cut in the freestyle. Feilmeyer also won the 100 butterfly in 50.84. Feilmeyer was part of meet records in the 400 and 800 freestyle relays in times of 3:04.47 and 7:03.79, respectively. He also swam on the winning 200 and 400 medley relay teams that had times of 1:32.68 and 3:27.47.
