Sophomore Bria Medina came up big for the Prairie Fire this past week, leading the team in scoring in two wins decided by a total of six points. First, she dropped 18 points and added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals to help Knox knock off conference co-leader Cornell College, 64-60. Then on Saturday, her tough scoop shot in the lane dropped through with 1.8 seconds left to lift the Prairie Fire to an 80-78 victory at Lake Forest. Medina had 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting in the game with six boards. For the week she averaged 20.5 points and 6.5 rebounds as Knox extended its winning streak to six games, matching the longest streak for any team in the league this season. Medina is also the first player in the league to score 300 points this year and ranks second in the Conference with 17.9 points per game.
