Clawson recorded one personal-best and a pair of season-bests in the throws at Saturday’s Dick Young Classic. His throw of 53.36 meters in the hammer ranks top in the MWC this season and 45th nationally, while his personal-best effort of 44.62 meters in the discus is fourth in the league and ranks sixth in program history. He also threw 12.48 meters in the shot put.
