Closs continued her stellar work in the circle as she pitched 21 shutout innings in her three starts on the week. On Tuesday, she set a school record with 18 strikeouts in her one-hit victory over Eureka. She followed that on Friday with the first perfect game in school history in a 14-strikeout effort at Monmouth. She concluded the week with a four-hit shutout with two strikeouts in a win at Cornell. Closs is now 13-4 on the season and has won her last five starts.
