Edan Perez hit .588 as Lawrence went 4-0 on the week and won the Midwest Conference championship. Perez went 10-for-17 with two doubles, a critical grand slam and seven runs batted in. Perez went 4-for-5 with six runs batted in as Lawrence rallied from a six-run deficit to beat Ripon 14-10. Perez’s grand slap at Ripon gave Lawrence the lead for good at 9-8 in that contest. In a three-game sweep of Cornell to clinch the regular-season title, Perez went 6-for-12 with two doubles, three runs scored and one driven in.
