Clara Hills went 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles as the Vikings opened their season. Hills posted wins over UW-Oshkosh, Illinois Wesleyan and Concordia Chicago at No. 1 singles, and teamed with Tess McGlenn for victories at No. 2 doubles over Illinois Wesleyan and Concordia Chicago. Hills won 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 against UW-Oshkosh and rolled to a 6-4, 6-0 win at Illinois Wesleyan before a 6-0, 6-1 win at Concordia Chicago. After falling 6-3 against UW-Oshkosh, Hills and McGlenn defeated Illinois Wesleyan 6-2 and beat Concordia Chicago 6-1.
