McDonald made his first start in three weeks a good one, averaging a strikeout an inning in Sunday's 2-1, seven inning win over MacMurray. The sophomore scattered five hits, fanned seven, walked one and allowed no earned runs. McDonald retired 12 straight batters through the middle innings.
