Murray was a perfect 4-for-4 as the Pioneers topped both Lake Forest College and Cornell College to claim its 22nd consecutive MWC title, the longest such streak in league history regardless of sport. In a 5-2 victory over Lake Forest, Murray teamed with Gervase Ngo ’28 to win 6-4 at No. 3 doubles and then got the match-clinching point in a 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 decision at No. 3 singles. Grinnell then stretched its winning streak against league foes to 202 matches by blanking Cornell 7-0, as Murray won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and teamed with Ngo for a 6-3 decision at No. 2 doubles. Grinnell has shut out 44 of its last 52 MWC opponents.
