Boyd had a big opening weekend at the Elmhurst College Invitational, averaging 4.25 kills per set with a .236 attack percentage in four matches. She collected 26 kills, three shy of her own school record, in a five-set loss to No. 18 nationally-ranked Elmhurst. Boyd also totaled 10 blocks (0.62 bps) in the tournament.
