The sophomore won both of his matches at the top of the lineup in Cornell's 6-3 victory at Lake Forest College. He outlasted defending MWC No. 1 singles champion Dan Pivonka 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-3, and then partnered with Shoma Kishimoto for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Souza leads the Rams (13-10 overall, 4-1 MWC) with 30 overall wins on the season.
