Grinnell College women’s tennis player Abby Nielsen has earned the Midwest Conference (MWC) Performer of the Week award after going 4-0 in her first weekend of collegiate competition. 

Nielsen began her collegiate tennis career on a perfect note, winning four matches in as many tries Saturday. Competing at No. 1 doubles with Amelia Cogan, the Pioneer duo won 8-3 against Augustana College and 8-1 against Edgewood College. Nielsen also posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles against Augustana and 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 against Edgewood.
