In a game where extra points were the difference, Courtney connected on all six of his and added a pair of field goals to help lead Lake Forest to a 48-46 victory over Carleton College. His 30-yard field goal gave the Foresters the lead late in the third quarter and his 29-yarder made the score 48-34 in the fourth. Carleton had an extra point hit the upright and another blocked in the game.
