Grinnell College freshman Milicia Cvrkota has been named the Midwest Conference (MWC) Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week after an impressive performance at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championship. 

Cvrkota, already enjoying a superb collegiate debut season, added to that over the weekend. She advanced to the round of 16 in singles play and teamed with Amelia Cogan to make the round of 16 in doubles. Overall at the event, she was 2-1 in singles and went 4-1 in doubles. For the season, the Pioneers’ top player is 12-2 in singles play and a combined 11-2 in doubles.
