Kinzer finished seventh overall at the 17-team Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in sweltering Rock Island, Ill. With temperatures in the mid-90s, the race was shortened to 5,000 meters, but Kinzer still blazed to a time of 19:36.7. In three events this season, Kinzer remains unbeaten against conference competition. Led by Kinzer, Lawrence finished ninth in team standings.
