Bocchi made an immediate impact for the Fighting Scots in their season-opener, winning three of his races and turning in one school record and two honor roll times. The freshman set the Scots’ record in the 50-yard backstroke, clocking a 25.44. He turned in honor roll marks while winning the 100 back (55.20) and the 100 IM (56.91). Bocchi capped off the meet, swimming the anchor leg of the mixed 200 freestyle relay which clocked a runner up time of 1:42.20.
