Lake Forest College freshman Susan Guo was a part of four Midwest Conference (MWC)-best times on Saturday and has been named the league’s Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. 

Guo led the Foresters to a first-place finish over three other MWC schools, including the defending conference champions, at Saturday’s Monmouth Invite. After swimming on the victorious 200-yard medley relay team, Guo took the 50-yard freestyle in 25.62 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.52. Her final appearance was as the anchor in the 400-yard freestyle relay, where she overcame a 1.27-second deficit and once again touched the wall first. Both of Guo’s individual event times and the relay marks are conference-bests this season.
