Evers won the field honor as he turned in his career-best in his first meet last week at the Frigid Bee Invitational. The senior easily won the pole vault after clearing 17' indoors for the first time in his career, a mark that ranks second nationally. Evers, whose indoor best had been 16'10-3/4", cleared his lifetime mark on his final attempt. He also scored in the triple jump where he placed seventh with a leap of 42'10-3/4", just 6" out of fifth place.
