Laun-Smith broke two school records at the University of Chicago Windy City Rumble. Her time of 9.11 in the 60-meter hurdles was a new school record and was good for first place. She also set another record in the triple jump with a leap of 38 ¼”, a mark good for eighth nationally. These are both top marks in the MWC. In the long jump Laun-Smith finished second with a leap of 17’1.25”.
