Barreca, a junior from Grayslake, Ill., was selected as Pitcher of the Week after a sterling performance in a 13-10 extra-inning victory over league rival Beloit College. Barreca earned the win over Beloit by pitching the final six innings of a 12-inning contest. Barreca allowed one run on four hits while striking out eight and walking one. Barreca pitched out of a bases loaded, no-out jam in the top of the ninth to push the game to extra innings.
