Wheeler has displayed herself as a force early in her collegiate career, already tying Grinnell’s season record for homers with six during the team’s spring break trip. The pitcher/second baseman hit .458 to go along with the six round-trippers, going 11-of-24 at the plate with four doubles, 13 RBIs and seven runs scored. She helped her cause pitching-wise, winning both decisions and striking out 15 in 17-1/3 innings of work.
