Hippen won two games, including Monmouth’s Midwest Conference opener, last week to lower her ERA and become the all-time wins leader in Fighting Scots history. The senior scattered four hits in Thursday’s 7-2 victory over Westminster to tie the program record. Hippen then set the mark, winning her 40th career game, in a 10-0 blanking of Knox. She struck out six in the six-inning affair for her fourth shutout in 10 games. For the week, Hippen posted a 1.08 ERA, fanning 10, walking nine, allowing just eight hits, and holding opponents to a .170 batting average. She also helped herself at the plate, hitting .333 with a .429 on-base percentage.
